Your User Name is composed of three parts:

1. The first letter is the first letter of your first name.
   ie paulette user name=ppall001
2. The next four letters are the first four letters of your last name.
   ie palladino user name=ppall001
3. The last three are numbers.
   ie 001 user name=ppall001

Your Password is usually randomly generated from the system.  The easiest way to enter your password for the first time is to copy it from the email that you receive.  If you are unable to copy and paste your password or if you choose to type it, remember that the passwords are case sensitive.
Following these instructions to copy and paste your assigned password.

1. Open the email message containing your User Name and Password
   ie Your User Name ptayl001 and your initial Password is M6iyRtu3.
2. Highlight the password by clicking and dragging your mouse across it.
   
3. Press the following keys on your keyboard to copy your text, Ctrl and the letter C.
4. Click the link in your email to access the log in screen
   
5. Click in the Password box and press Crtl and the letter V on your keyboard.
6. Click Ok

Once your are logged into the system you can use access your portal page at, www.hpcnet.org and click My Account Information to change your password.
