Students will
create a movie that plays on the Web using a program called Alice. Alice is
designed to be a student's first, simple exposure to object-oriented
programming. It allows students to learn basic computer science while creating
animated movies and simple video games. Students control the behavior of 3-D
objects and characters in a virtual world to make their movie. Students can
choose the subject and scripting for their movie. This basic programming class
will help students understand the complexity of video games and computer
animation. Class size is limited.
