Chemistry Magic Day Camp

Students in this class will learn some basics about chemistry and then use chemicals to put on a magic show for parents at the end of class. Students will learn safety precautions, basic information about chemicals and reactions, and how chemistry effects our life every day. Students will perform these experiments: Non-Newtonian fluids Chromatography art Acids/Bases Electric pickle Color changes Magic Sand Parents are invited to a chemical magic show at 3 p.m. Students will be ready to go at 3:30 p.m. after clean up. Sign up early, class size is limited. Grades 6-8 (co-ed) Friday, August 7, 2009 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. $75 per student (includes lunch and all supplies)
