Socket to Me! Computer Science & Computer Engineering
Camp for Girls

This camp provides a hands-on computer science and engineering experience in a fun camp format.
Some things that you will learn:

• The importance of becoming computer literate
• Computer basics
• How to disassemble and reassemble a computer
• PC maintenance
• Basic programming
• Web programming
• Basic electronics


 

Socket to Me! gives you a chance to experience college life. You will have a roommate, eat in the cafeteria, visit the library, work in the computer labs, and go on field trips to see computers in action at local industries. Camp will start with a pizza party Sunday night and end Friday with a programming competition, luncheon and panel discussion.

This is an overnight residential camp. A room will be provided in a residence hall for the entire week. There will be 2-4 campers per room. Counselors are assigned to the campers in a ratio of one for every fifteen campers.

Grades 7-10
Registration fee: $375 (includes camp activities, room and board)
