Students will visit local government agencies and will also visit the
Chieseman Foundation for Democracy and Mt. Rushmore on field trips.
Students' work is displayed in a class portfolio the last day of camp
and will be reviewed by community leaders.
Of course there is time for fun! The camp also includes a number of
activities that may include swimming, pizza parties, a field trip, etc. Students
will experience dorm life, cafeteria food and learn what it is like to be on a
college campus.
This is an overnight residential camp. A room will be provided in a residence
hall on the School of Mines campus for the entire week. There will be 2-4
campers per room. Counselors are assigned to the campers in a ratio of one for
every 15 students. The camp will provide all meals.
