What's Behind the Flush?

How often do we think about our water and what it takes to bring it to our house. Likewise, do we really understand what happens to our waste when it leaves our house? Students will work with computer activities, create designs, use simulations, and build models to learn what it takes to keep Rapid City running! Students will learn what roles engineers and scientists play in our community managing our water resources, waste management, electricity, etc.

Students need to dress appropriately for the weather and need to dress for walking (tennis shoes). Students should bring water and a snack each day.

June 17 & 18, 2008
8:30-11:30 a.m. both days
Grades 4-6 (co-ed)
$45
