Haiku and Four Seasons
Spring
Chairs eager for warmth,
Ice slowly slides to the edge.
Returning sun winks.
Summer
Scorched deck underfoot;
Intense head prickles my scalp:
Sunglasssed friends, cold wine.
Fall
Chairs merrily tossed
Table blown six inches right
Windows cringe from slaps.
Winter
Snowfall hides the deck.
Snug in the shed, mice play on
chairs. We sigh; shovel.
