Hiring Policy for Student Employees

 

Hiring procedures and guidelines for the hiring of student workers (other than students enrolled in the work-study program or the graduate studies program), have been established in conjunction with the SDSM&T Affirmative Action Plan. This plan is identified on Policy IV-A-02 and is available in the President's Office, Business/Personnel Office and Devereaux Library.

Any questions concerning the hiring procedures should be directed to the Director of Personnel.

Every recruitment and selection process must conform to the established guidelines. All irregularities in the advertising and selection process must be noted and reported to the Personnel Office. Personnel cannot be placed on payroll if hired outside established procedures.
