HIST 121 WESTERN CIVILIZATION I
(3-0) 3 credits. Surveys the evolution of western
civilization from its beginnings into the
Reformation and religious wars.
HIST 122 WESTERN CIVILIZATION II
(3-0) 3 credits. Surveys the development of
western civilization from the Reformation era to
the present.
HIST 151 UNITED STATES HISTORY I
(3-0) 3 credits. Surveys the background and
development of the United States from its colonial
origins to the Civil War and Reconstruction.
HIST 152 UNITED STATES HISTORY II
(3-0) 3 credits. Surveys development of the
United States since the Civil War and
Reconstruction.
HIST 492 TOPICS
1 to 4 credits. Includes current topics, advanced
topics and special topics. A course devoted to a
particular issue in a specified field. Course
content is not wholly included in the regular
curriculum. Guest artists or experts may serve as
instructors. Enrollments are usually 10 or fewer
students with significant one-on-one
student/teacher involvement. May be repeated
once for credit when the topic is different and
with permission of department chair.
